I applied through other source. I interviewed at B2B Industrial Packaging in Mar 2026
Interview
The hiring process was straightforward and professional. However, I noticed the position was reposted multiple times over several months, and the advertised compensation appeared to decrease significantly from the original posting (from approximately $160K+ to around $120K). For a Director-level role in the greater Chicago area, that compensation seems extremely low relative to the scope and responsibilities outlined in the job description. Given the repeated repostings and reduction in compensation, it was difficult to understand whether the company's hiring strategy, budget, and expectations for the role were fully aligned or realistic. Candidates may want to clarify compensation, decision timelines, and role expectations in writing early in the process before investing significant time or commitment.
Sit down with department manager and discussed the day to day for the position. Go over expectations for the position and the key parts of your day. Review how past experiences would help you succeed in the role.
