Quick chat. Not very difficult at all. The manager just sought to get to know me rather than my knowledge on making drinks or beer in general. More focused on making sure that you fit into the environment and were up to the task.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Aviator Brewing Company (Fuquay-Varina, NC) in Sep 2016
Interview
The initial interview with the what ended up being former manager was standard, asked of knowledge of beer and alcohol, serving experience, and availability. However, once I started a week later that manager had quit, and a new one had yet to be hired. About 3 weeks later, the new manager arrived, and his initial meeting with me was a bit concerning. He called me "cute", and since he was only a few years older than me and it was just me and him in his office, I found this to be extremely inappropriate. He also told me that he use to live in my hometown and asked me what high school I went to, one I told him, his response was "oh I use to (explicit) girls from that school". I quit a week later for obvious reasons.
