      Senior Enterprise Account Manager Interview

      Mar 13, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Santa Clara, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Automation Anywhere (Santa Clara, CA) in Jan 2019

      Interview

Humiliated and waste of time. Given that I have 20 years of professional enterprise account management plus solutions sales background (I was a sales director in my previous job), but was humiliated for not knowing what "enterprise account" is about because my previous job did not have the BIG revenue to refer to. Do we refer to only the revenue figure when we review the job function? Totally matched with the job description when I reviewed the job posting. Phone screen with the recruiter team (who were a mess with scheduling the interview - 3 reschedules and still failed at the end). The evening before the interview, got a call from the first interviewer(someone who claimed she was the #1 person in operations) to change time from 10am to 9am, where the next morning she was late 20 min to arrive at work! To make it worse, the second interviewer (VP level) was totally missing in action but was still scheduled to have in-person meeting with him. Also wasted my 1 hour+ because his time scheduled was set at 11am, when the first interviewer moved hers from 10am to 9am. The whole 1:1 interview was less than 30 minutes and during the time I was listening mostly about her criticizing of my experience, how busy she was, how many hats she wore, how short of her service time with the company but moved up so quick to the top. Hmm... AA you are great I think... but you probably are moving up too fast where some areas are not catching up in the right way.
