      Sr. Software Engineer Interview

      Jun 8, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Santa Clara, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Automation Anywhere (Santa Clara, CA) in Apr 2018

      Interview

Anutomation Anywhere was the lengthiest interview process I had ever faced. I had 2 rounds of phone screening and 6 rounds of in-person interview over 2 days. The company is crazily hiring. My guess is they want to go IPO or want a successful exist showing how big they are. I had cleared 7 rounds (2 phone and 5 in person) I flunked in 1 wolf attack round. I was told Multiple times during interview "sorry, please do not think we are trying to bully you".

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Different error codes in restful web service 11. different types of authentication (hint OAuth, Hmac. basic) 12. Difference between an application server and web server. 13. How spring comes to know which class is Spring, how to exclude a class. There were 10-15 more but this is all I remember for now. I was drilled on soft skills with the question which I have never heard of. i felt it FBI interrogation rather than discussion.
