      HR Generalist Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Atmos Energy (Dallas, TX) in Nov 2020

      Interview

I applied online via their website and a recruiter emailed me a few days later with a follow-up email. After replying to her email we agreed on a mutual time to conduct the initial phone interview. Red Flag #1: The recruiter was 15 minutes late to the pre-screen. I didn’t think much of it at the time - I understand we can all get tied up in meetings/calls etc. The phone interview went extremely well in my opinion and I was followed up with an email the next day regarding a virtual interview with the team. Prior to the virotismos interview, the recruiter reached out to ensure my camera and audio were working properly as she wanted to ensure there were no issues during the scheduled interview with the team. I thought this was extremely nice of the recruiter to have done so. The actual virtual interview went well. I interviewed with 5 team members. 2 were part of the HR department and the other 3 were supervisors. There was a total of 10 questions and again, I felt I nailed that interview. I was confident I would get called back for a final interview. Red flag #2, 3, & 4: About an hour or so after my virtual interview I sent an email to the recruiter to let her know my thoughts on the virtual interview and to express my gratitude in making the recruiting process a nice one. I never heard back from the recruiter. I followed up 2 business days later and I also received no response. I followed up a THIRD time and I have not heard back from the recruiter. It’s been one month since my last interview. I am not one to write reviews, but I felt it was extremely important to voice my experience with the recruiting process at Atmos. It started off on a high note and the recruiter essentially ghosted me. These are extremely hard times people are going through and the smallest detail goes a long way. Had the recruiter responded back with an email saying I was not selected to move forward then that would have been end of story, but that is not what happened here. I truly hope this recruiter can reflect on what happened here and change her tactic moving forward with other candidates.
