      Controls Engineer Interview

      Mar 5, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Spokane Valley, Spokane, WA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Arkema (Spokane Valley, Spokane, WA) in Feb 2019

      Interview

Applied through their site, got an email from one of the software engineers (?) to set up an interview. Went in the following week for a sit down interview. Met with three engineers for the process. Questions were primarily related to PLC’s and HMI systems. Overall got the impression that they were a close-knit team in need of someone with strong PLC knowledge.

      Interview questions [3]

      Question 1

Would you feel comfortable writing complex tasks like velocity monitoring in a PLC?
      1 Answer

      Question 2

Would you be able to handle a machine that is constantly changing while it’s getting designed? Sensors and otherwise?
      1 Answer

      Question 3

How comfortable are you with selecting sensors?
      1 Answer
