I applied through the online portal and was called by HR approximately four days from submitting my initial application. The HR representative interviewed me for about 45 minutes, asking the typical questions associated with a first call. The HR representative was very pleasant and offered the opportunity to interview in person.
I accepted the interview offer which was set for a week later. I was interviewed by two bankers, one with the same title as the position and the other, the new commercial banking manager. The interview lasted about an hour with generic interview questions. They were very pleasant and explained the role and took the time to get to know me.
Having worked and interviewed for large organizations, you can immediately tell that this is a small, less organized organization though. Don't expect the bells and whistles, nor a premium office environment. As a commercial banker you would be working in a small branch office.
I wasn't offered the position and would have given a positive experience, however I was turned down from the position about 1.5 months later by a generic email. In previous experiences, the employer had the courtesy to call with the news. Neither the HR representative nor the employees offered a call. Accordingly, based on my experiences with other organizations, I had to rate as a negative experience.
