Was less of an interview and more of just explaining their project to see if I was interested in it. They asked me to talk about my background and what professional goals I had.
Emailed researchers whose work I was interested in. If Argonne still had funding they offered to onboard me. That was pretty much it, as long as your interested, and having relevant work helps

To get an interview you must submit a good application with very good letters of recommendation on their DOE portal. It helps to also know someone who already works at the laboratory.
