Casual, fun, and very kind. Know why you want to work here, and why you want to work in the specific department you are applying to. Extremely pleasant interview process.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Aperture Foundation (New York, NY) in Apr 2018
Interview
The interview wasn't difficult, it was most important that you communicated why exactly you wanted to work at Aperture, rather than any other foundation. The staff was very friendly and since it is an internship position, they were very accommodating in the interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Aperture Foundation (New York, NY)
Interview
Simple interview process; I was in college and they asked about what I was studying and my previous communications and photography experience. There was an online component as well, which involved writing short essays. I had a connection and I think they gave me a leg up in the whole process, as these things usually go.
