just talked about best practices engineering wise with the CEO. we conflicted on team makeup and QA best practices. Interview style seemed to mimick google/facebook/twitter, pretty bold for a product riddled with ads.

Phone call, timed take-home technical screen, 2-hour pair programming challenge, half-day in-person interviews. Mix of technical questions + product-focused prompts. In general the interview process was prompt, well-structured, and reasonable in content

Interview
(1) Had a 30-minute call intro call with someone in operations to explore if this was a good opportunity for both of us.
(2) Did a 90-minute take-home.
(3) Had a 60-minute online interview (1:1) with one of the product engineers on the team. Question was technical in nature.
(4) Had a 60-minute coffee with the CEO, part-interview part-sell.
(5) Had an on-site with 4 60-minute rounds and a lunch. 3 rounds were technical-heavy and product-heavy. 1 round was background heavy.

As an engineer, I was not expecting as many questions about product decisions. I was asked a lot what I would do if I were the PM of the project (regarding goals, success, metrics, etc).
