I was handed a packet upon arrival and asked to fill it out while awaiting an interview. It was assessing my skills for fabrication, included math, geometric dimensioning, reading and interpreting weld symbols, etc. Then I was asked to complete a weld test by reading a blueprint and assembling a small, stainless steel, thin gauge weldment,
