I applied for the position. I got an email from the tech recruiter three weeks later asking for my availability to schedule first set of technical interviews over the phone. One hour before the phone interview, I got an email saying that the person who was going to interview me is busy so somebody else will be conducting the interview. So I had the first interview with two hiring managers. Typical Amazon leadership questions along with my technical background experience and my accomplishments. Half an hour after the interview, I got another email to schedule the final interview. I was sent a schedule detailing everything about how long the process was going to be and who I'd be interviewing with. However, two days before the interview was scheduled, I received a call from the recruiter saying that Amazon will have to postpone the interview and reschedule because they are dealing with some budget issues. I thought that was weird since Amazon has been doing pretty well during the pandemic. I was also told that these things are common and I should be hearing back within two weeks or so to reschedule. After hearing nothing after two weeks, I followed up with the recruiter and I was told, they are still working through their budget issues and to hang tight. Another four weeks went by and I saw that the status of my application had changed from "Under consideration" to "Submitted". I followed up with the recruiter again and was told that they had decided to move on with other candidates for the position. Disappointing!!
