I had an initial interview with a recruiter which, from a human and conversational standpoint, was very pleasant. The recruiter spoke excellent British English and the interview felt more like a dialogue than a rigid Q&A. She was friendly, approachable, and genuinely engaging, and we discussed both my background and my motivation for the role in depth.
The process unfortunately became less positive afterward. After the interview, communication stopped for a while, with no updates or feedback, and I was eventually informed that I was not selected due to a lack of “technical expertise” for the role. This was somewhat disappointing, as during the interview I clearly expressed strong interest in learning and developing the technical aspects, and I felt I could have been a very good cultural fit for the company.
Overall, the interview itself was enjoyable, but the follow-up and communication could have been handled more transparently and consistently.
