One interview, basic questions about interest industry and past experiences. Questions were about Balance Sheet and Journal Entries knowledge related to loans. Management was enthusiastic and energetic. Overall good experience. Really nice office located of 405, good environment. Networking is important if you would like to work here.
Quick get to know you intro, asked about background and interest in the role, followed by Mckinsey&Company case study (very similar to online examples). Interviewer was nice and guided you through if you were stuck. Finish with questions.
The overall interview process at Ally Financial whilst I was interviewing to do my interview was very nice in nature as it was very interesting during the time I was interviewing

Question 1
What is a time when you've had to think outside the box
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Ally Financial in Apr 2025
Interview
I received a HireVue in January and interviewed with the company shortly afterward for an internship. The interview was fine, mostly behavioral and questions about my technical skills (it was clear that I lacked the technical skills required for the job even though it was never listed in the job description). Unsurprisingly, I was rejected shortly thereafter.
Three months later, I got a phone call from a recruiter saying they had an opening that they wanted me to urgently apply for and interview for the next day. This made me think I was the preferred candidate for the role. It was clear during the interview that they were not seriously considering me, and I was rejected again for "not meeting the school year requirements" because I was a sophomore instead of a junior. Unbelievably unprofessional behavior that wasted my time.
