Allied Works Architecture interview questions

I was responded to and had an interview in the same week. Maybe they thought I wasn’t a good fit, because I only had one interviewer (out of the listed 2 in the email) who seemed unprepared(?) Didn’t look at my portfolio before hand, didn’t have any agenda, just said “well I don’t know how we start.” So I took the initiative and introduced myself, talked about specific portfolio projects, and talked about experiences and so on. She didn’t have a ton to ask but she did ask “where are you from” which is illegal. Never heard any response back
