Applied online and got an email that same day to schedule a phone screen. Almost 30 minutes after our scheduled time I emailed the hiring manager to see if he was still planning to call. He called about 15 minutes later apologizing for the mix-up. During our call he did most of the talking, asked a few questions and then invited me for an in-person. I had to fill out a paper application form. Very Y2K! Met with two people separately at their offices. The hiring manager was first up. He talked non-stop for almost 30 minutes about the company, the department, what he wanted to change, the role, etc. He then asked if I had questions. Well, yes, of course I had questions. But he just answered all of them in his 30 minute monologue! So I asked a few other questions which meant he talked on for another while. He asked very little about my background and experience. Following that I met with a junior team member. This meeting was much more of a dialogue and I did get to talk some. Weeks have gone by and I haven’t heard anything. Pretty rude and lazy considering it takes so little effort to send a “no thanks” email through the ATS.
