I started the interview process in November of last year and had 5 interviews before I was just recently told AlixPartners did not want to move forward with me. All 5 phone/in person interviews went wonderfully. What was their decision based on? My assessment score on the Wonderlic Test. The last part of the recruiting process is for the individual to take this exam that has 50 questions you must answer in 12 minutes (no calculators are allowed). All are unrelated to the job itself, many which are math and difficult problem solving questions, and it was because of my score on this I was given the boot. My opinion? This company digs and digs at you until they find something they consider wrong with you. I even reached out to the CISO after I was given the news by the recruiter and still expressed major interest in the position and asked for a chance , and that my skill set was not measured by some test that sets you up for failure in the first place. Needless to say, I never heard back from him. My advice? Don't let a recruiter beat you around the bush for months on end just to be told after the 3 month recruitment process that they don't want to move forward with you...if you have another job opportunity with another company, go for that one instead. This should be your last resort.
