      Technical Support Associate Interview

      Aug 8, 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Minneapolis, MN
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Alarm.com (Minneapolis, MN) in Mar 2015

      Interview

Long and involved interview process - phone screen and then two different panel interviews, including a riddle or puzzle that you need to solve. They also asked me to tell a joke. I liked that they were pretty clearly looking for the right person to hire. Would definitely apply to this company again. Everyone was very professional and seemed like good people.

      Technical Support Associate Interview

      Mar 1, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Minneapolis, MN
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Alarm.com (Minneapolis, MN)

      Interview

Four people from Alarm.com interviewed me virtually. They were very kind, but it seemed like they were also just figuring out how to conduct interviews virtually. They asked hypothetical questions about how I might respond to a given situation, and then they asked me a brain teaser. The one downside was this: the company ghosted me after the interview. Even after I emailed the recruiter asking about a status on my interview, I received nothing.

      Technical Support Associate Interview

      Feb 7, 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Alarm.com in Jan 2020

      Interview

There was a phone interview first where they asked behavioral questions which was very easy and they immediately scheduled for an In-person Interview for next week. It was in Bloomington MN. There were 3 Interviewers in the Panel and they were very friendly. They asked similar behavioral questions and then they asked a few troubleshooting questions with some sample calls. They also gave me an Ipad and was asked to resolve an issue with the help of their knowledge base. Finally there was a logical puzzle which I had to solve. The Interview lasted about an hour. It was an easy Interview but I'm not sure who they are exactly looking for. After 2 weeks I received an email that they ended up moving forward with another Candidate.

      Technical Support Associate Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

      I applied online. I interviewed at Alarm.com

      Interview

I only did the phone interview. They asked me a lot of technical questions based on their products. I wasn't expecting those type of questions right away in a phone interview without knowing the products.
