It was a three step interview process where I met with a three different directors each on a higher level in the corporate ladder. It was business professional dress but a very casual conversation between all the officials. I talked about my background at each meeting, they asked me questions pertaining to my education and work experience, and then finished with more information on the next step.

      Executive Recruiter Interview

      Dec 12, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Washington, DC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Ajilon (Washington, DC) in Oct 2019

      Interview

I applied through LinkedIn and received a call for an in person interview a week or so after. I came in for what was suppose to be a 30min interview but turned into a 3.5 hour interview, which I was ok with because I thought that that was a good sign. I spoke with three different people. After speaking with the three people, I was then invited to come in the following day at 8:30am to spend the entire day shadowing an executive recruiter. After shadowing, I was told to be expecting a final face time interview call from the highest up hiring manager two days later. I also was told that at that point, "all you need to be doing is thinking about if you seriously want to work for this company". LOL. So I finally spoke with the top hiring manager and thought it went pretty well. A week and a half passed and I had heard nothing so I decided to reach out with an email and was told that they decided to promote their administrative assistant. A recruiter reached out the next day and wanted to talk to me about another open position at Ajilon for a different but similar role so I thought surely enough this is it after ALL I've been through with this company. She rescheduled the first face time interview for personal reasons and we finally spoke after a couple of days of trying to reschedule. Again, a week went by and I heard nothing. I reached out and received an "Unfortunately we have decided to pursue other candidates" email. I found the whole process completely misleading, rude and wasted lots of time and energy.
