I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Aging in the Home Remodelers (Lakewood, CO) in Apr 2018
Interview
I hope that people who have an interview will read this before going in.
I just finished one and I am pretty disappointed. I went in and had to guess where to go because there was no receptionist or even waiting area. I sat in a hallway with 2 chairs for a few minutes while people walked by me asking if someone knew I was here. Finally, the person I thought I was meeting came out and said “I'm not the one you are meeting but am meeting with someone else who will get me soon”. Another 5 minutes went by and I was finally taken back. I was asked 3-4 basic questions: tell me about yourself, do you have experience with computers, what are your salary expectations, and why are you looking for a new position or what interested you in the company. After I answered those, which took about 5 minutes total, I was very briefly told about the position, which sounds like a glorified customer service rep who will deal with complaints all day. Then I was asked when I would be available to start and was told to put in my 2 weeks at my current position and will start at $14.42 per hour in 2 weeks. I did not get a chance to ask any of my questions or even think about the position, I had to answer yes or no right on the spot. The interviewer said they were making a decision today and they have other people scheduled so they need to know what to do about them. I mentioned that I needed some time to think things over and got told, "Well then I need to rescind the offer. Thanks for coming in and keep us updated if anything changes."
I know this is long winded but it left me with such a bad taste for the company in general and I would not wish this feeling on anyone else. I thought it was very unprofessional and like they would hire anyone who would walk in the door. If you think you are cut out for the job, by all means go for it. You will immediately get the job because I don’t think there are any qualifications.
