I was contacted by their internal recruiter. After the phone interview I was invited to an in-person interview. The exact email said this "Good afternoon! I just got some feedback from my hiring manager. He would like to schedule an in-person interview with you for next week. What is your availability to come to our Herndon office to meet with the team some time next week?
Thank you and have a great day!"
I confirmed the interview time via email, and requested the name of the person I would be interviewing with- twice! No response. This was the first red flag. The morning of the interview, I arrived a few minutes early so I called the recruiter to ask about parking and the name of the person I was to meet with. She then stated that I was mistaken and they never invited me to an in-person interview- "it was always over-the-phone." Confused and very annoyed, I pulled up the email and questioned it again. She then stated that she had been in an auto accident, hurt her neck, and have been slow about email responses. Stunned by her in lack of professionalism, I immediately ended the conversation; and sent a follow-up email stating that I was no longer interested in pursuing employee with this company.
Fifteen minutes later, I received a call for "the guy", who was totally clueless about the miscommunication with the recruiter, and the fact that I reneged on full-time employment there.
