This was by far the WORST experience I have had with a company. I originally applied for a QA Tester role, completed a test for this role, had a screening call with someone from HR, and was told the language team would be in touch to arrange an interview. After a whole week of hearing nothing I emailed the person from HR who told me they had actually decided I wasn’t the right fit for the QA Tester role since I needed more gaming experience (that was fair enough although it was frustrating that I had to email HR about it myself).
The person from HR then recommended that I apply for the Polish Language Specialist role and told me I was linguistically capable. I applied for this role and was contacted about doing a two hour translation test at a time that suited me. I completed the test on the selected day in the two hour timeframe and sent it off back to HR.
All of this was at the beginning of September and I have yet to receive a response. No one contacted me to say they received the translation test and no one contacted me to thank me for taking the time to do the test but that they decided to go in another direction.
It’s not even the fact that I didn’t get an offer that frustrates me, it’s the fact that not a single person from HR had enough respect to email me to say thank you for doing these tests. I’m disappointed by the lack of respect and this experience has put me off ever applying for a role in this company again if they can’t even send an automated email that I wasn’t successful. Horrible experience overall!
