      Sales Development Representative (SDR) Interview

      Jul 29, 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ActionIQ (New York, NY) in Jul 2022

      Interview

Horrible experience and huge waste of time. First round interview is with the internal recruiter who advances you to next step with the Hiring Manager. The next step after is an assessment with the Hiring Manager, SDR Lead, and SDR Enabler in which you choose 4 company's that you think will be good prospects and to compile a mock cold email and pitch for them. The purpose of this to pretend they want to hire you but really they are looking to steal your ideas and your work. And then they will try their best to rip you apart and criticize your whole presentation. They are arrogant and don't know what they are talking about. They then ask inappropriate questions like "if we gave you an offer, would you accept?" With no intention of hiring you in the first place. Like what kind of question is that? If they advance you to the next stage it will be a conversation with the VP Sales, and then next stage is with the CRO, who is going to be about 20 minutes late to your interview and not very responsive to what you say or your questions. So the whole process was 5 rounds of interviews in a course of 2 weeks. It takes them more than 1 week to give a final update which is unacceptable and shows complete lack of consideration for the candidate's time. They took 1 week to respond after the last interview only to say that they went with another candidate while making it seem like they were going to hire you. This company is a HUGE waste of time and a joke. They are arrogant and have no respect for candidate's time. They have no courtesy and zero tact. Very unethical people. If you want to go through an interview process where they will make it seem like you're already hired only for them to steal your ideas and presentations, go and have your time wasted - this is the company to apply for. Other than that - STAY FAR AWAY!
