I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Actica Consulting (Guildford, England) in Nov 2018
Interview
Obtained an interview through a recruitment agency. Initial admin questions (do you have a driving licence, are you applying to other jobs, how are you searching for jobs)
Then they went through my CV from start to finish asking me to elaborate on my experience. Also asked the usual questions. Why do you want to be a consultant, what does a consultant do? Why Actica?
This preceded a problem solving excercise done on a white board.. where I was asked to "estimate the annual total NHS pension liabilities in the UK". I came unstuck, because whilst I wasn't unhappy with my thought process... My mental maths is terrible (despite having a first class science degree from Oxford). Just something I've never needed to be good at. So being good at mental maths is a real bonus.
Finally I was given 10 minutes to ask my own questions.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Actica Consulting (Guildford, England) in Dec 2019
Interview
Two interviews, one carried out by a senior consultant and the second carried out by one of the company's directors.
First interview was simply going through the CV and then a problem solving scenario.
Second interview was a presentation, going through the CV and then a further, much harder, problem solving scenario.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Actica Consulting in Sep 2019
Interview
One on one interview with a Managing Consultant, overall very relaxed experience, answered general interview questions as well as one 'abstract question which tested critical thinking skills. Finally was given a pitch about the work done at the company.
