      Marketing Assistant Interview

      Interview

The interview process started out fine as they responded very quickly (Applied on Saturday, heard back on Monday) but during my 2nd interview, I quickly learned they weren't interviewing me for the job I applied for. Long story short, I got scammed. Their friendliness was so deceiving because they know how to lure and trap candidates in for a completely different job. Why not just state the job title upfront like Client Rep? The longer the interview went on, the more uncomfortable I got because it was obvious they had lied. Between the deception and lack of integrity, I knew I was not going to be a good fit for them. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND BE CAREFUL OF THIS.

Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for your review. Although your interview experience as a whole was less than satisfactory, we are pleased to hear our follow up with you was performed in a prompt, timely manner. We at Acquire have worked diligently to build a reputable, sustainable, and transparent organization and find our online presence to be an accurate representation of our business operations. Through some research one will find that Acquire’s operations consist of sales and promotional marketing campaigns for our clientele. In regards to vetting candidates for interviews, we do not wish to misrepresent ourselves in any way. Perhaps our listing was confused with that of another company, which could easily and understandably be the case. However, we will take full responsibility of any confusion and have discussed your feedback with our administrative staff, which is carefully performing a search of all Acquire job postings to ensure we have given a proper description of the positions in which we are seeking to fill. With that said, our sincerest apologies are extended if you truly got the impression we were deceitful or trying to “lure” and “trap” you in any way. We want to assure you that this is never our intent! Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us so we can make a concerted effort to make improvements where it is necessary. Kind Regards, Acquire Human Resources Dept.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Acquire (Raleigh, NC) in Mar 2020

      Interview

I had my first interview via video and was asked on the spot to be there Monday morning at 9:30 for my second interview. When I got there there was 5 other people waiting to interview too. The office was complete chaos and we waited for over an hour to actually be interviewed. All throughout my interview they told me how much growth is available at this company but never what my job description really was. After the second interview they asked me to fill out a questionnaire and that I would also be having my third interview on the spot. I was brought back into another office after waiting quite some time where I was then offered a job on the spot. After leaving the office I thought of all of the questions I should've asked so I emailed the girl I did my interview with to get those answers before moving forward with the offer and never received a response. I had a gut feeling something wasn't right about this company/job offer. I did my research that night and found reviews from people who word for word experienced what I did while being in the office. They lie to you about what your job title will really be and make it seem like you will be doing office work but in reality you will be sent off after the morning meeting to be a sales rep, not a marketing assistant. Do not fall for this scheme.
