The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Achievement First (New York, NY)

      Interview

Recruiter seemed friendly, but wooden, responding each time I answered a question with "thank you for sharing that" and then going on to next question. When I brought up the Greenfield model at the beginning of the interview as one reason why I was looking to work for them, she said she would answer my questions about it towards the end, but then avoided discussing it with me when it was my turn to ask her questions. I knew once she said I would hear from them within a week that I would not be moving along in the hiring process, but still sent a follow-up email thanking her for her time. I received my standard/wooden email that they would not be moving forward with my application exactly 7 days later. It is my strong belief that my rejection has more to do with her hesitance on hiring someone with a previous education background (horrendous student teaching experience and an apathetic school advisor, we had discussed this) and she feels that I cannot adapt. Had my interview been with a different recruiter, I am certain that I'd be scheduled for a school visit/demo lesson, but I'll never know.

      Interview

There’s an initial phone call that is first part of the interview, and then you complete the second part of the application where you answer interview questions via video. It’s not live but you record yourself answering the questions within a certain time limit. Afterwards, once you get accepted by the program you get an offer from a school and you do one final interview (supposed to be around 90 minutes with demo lesson, role play, questions about your teaching philosophies/techniques) with the school’s administration.

      Interview

The process was very organized and timely. It was a very professional process. They were clear on their expectations for the interview process. At the beginning of the interview I was able to present my demo lesson and received quality feedback.

I applied online. I interviewed at Achievement First (Providence, RI) in Feb 2021

      Interview

After submitting your resume and answering some questions you're asked to complete a video interview. If you're moved forward, you have a short phone interview before being moved onto the finalist steps. Before the finalist interview, there's a finalist prep day so that you're prepared for the final interview. In the final interview, you're asked to teach a 5-10 minute lesson plan to the interviewers.
