I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Achievement First (Hartford, CT)
Interview
Overall it was a very interesting experience. The class is very sweet and students were very responsive the staff were very accommodating and the interview questions were not altogether overwhelming. I highly recommend applying to this particular Charter School Branch they obviously have a lot of there's structure down pat. If I had the opportunity you with interviewing I would have made sure that I was very intentional about going around in monitoring student processing. Performance lesson is somewhat nerve-racking but it went very smoothly.

Question 1
What were some challenges you encountered teaching?
I applied online. I interviewed at Achievement First (Brooklyn, NY) in Jan 2026
Interview
The initial phone interview went great! Five questions asked and I received an email about 15 minutes after with information of moving onto the next step (in-person interview). If you have experience with teaching whether that is as an assistant, lead-teacher or tutoring you should be able to answer those questions rather easily.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Achievement First in Mar 2021
Interview
The process started with a cover letter and resume, which led to two phone interviews, and then a final Zoom interview (during the pandemic) teaching a model lesson. There was a follow-up phone interview/conversation after the Zoom session. I accepted another job offer from a school that was a better fit for me at this time prior to hearing back on AF's final decision. They wrote a gracious response, and I'd be happy to keep in touch in the future for other opportunities.
