I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ace Parking (San Diego, CA) in Dec 2017
Interview
In 2015/2016, I was interviewed by two people; neither was the person I was supposed to meet. I felt like one of the people who interviewed me was possibly internally applying for the same position. Her demeanor and questions seemed passive aggressive. It was a strange experience.

Question 1
One question was how my previous experience would transfer to ACE. They also had me take a timed "problem solving/math" test.

Interview
When I received a message asking to do an initial phone call, I was expecting a quick 15 or 20 minute get-to-know-each-other type thing. I was at work and this was in the middle of the day. Instead, the woman first gave me a long explanation of what the company does (I had already explained my awareness of the company, and even if I hadn't, it's pretty straightforward...it's parking). She then quizzed me for nearly an hour on specific HR things and acted like she thought I was lying on my resume. She had no interest in getting to know more about my specific knowledge base, and instead asked me weird minute details that anyone working in HR would google. It was the equivalent of giving someone a complicated math problem and telling them they had to answer it on the spot, without acknowledging that in the real world people use calculators. At the end of it all she congratulated me that I "scored higher" than other people do on that. This did not feel like a complement, I felt insulted to be compared like that. I had put up with the pop quiz questions because I thought maybe they are really trying to find someone high level for the position. But when I asked about pay it was laughably low, and hourly for a position that clearly needs to be exempt, which is illegal. I have had plenty of good and bad interviews in the past, but this is the first one where I felt insulted and like it was a true waste of an hour of my time.
