Senior Account Manager, Paid Marketing Interview

      Nov 16, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Boston, MA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Acceleration Partners (Boston, MA) in Nov 2015

      Interview

Overall I was very pleased with the interview process at Acceleration Partners. I had found out about the company through a job posting on LinkedIn; after reviewing their Glassdoor reviews and more information about the company I was extremely interested in working for Acceleration Partners and applied online. Shortly after I was contacted by Acceleration Partner's recruiter who discussed with me open positions that I may be a good fit for and asked questions to ensure I would also be a good fit for Acceleration Partners. Following our discussion I was given a homework assignment to develop a strategy for a client and submit within 3 business days; I was given the assignment on Friday and submitted the assignment by Monday morning. I was contacted early Monday afternoon letting me know that my submission was great and I will move on to continue through the interview process. I was then set up with one Skype interview and one phone interview that week, both approximately an hour long. Following those I met with the VP of Marketing in person the following week for another hour, the last leg of the interview process. Overall, the interview process was very concise, very manageable and the team was very flexible to my schedule which I greatly appreciated. The interviewers were challenging, yet fair I felt; and I think that is more than understandable, really determining who is a right fit for the company and has the drive to work remote everyday. I greatly appreciated the time the team put into interviewing me and the questions they asked. The one thing I would recommend would be to tell the interviewee at the beginning of their process how many rounds of interviews they could potentially expect to go through to set expectations. This will help them understand what part of the process they are at within any given time and how to properly prepare.
