Recruiter scheduled me for the first interview with the CEO without asking my availability - already a red flag that they don't respect other people's time. The call with the CEO was unpleasant. You can tell that he was just on his phone with a lot of background noise and he was cutting in and out - another red flag that he's not being present and respectful. He kept asking for an innovative and specific way to generate 600 appointments (which they are having trouble with that right now and they are looking for someone to do that for them). I suggested influencer marketing but I would need a lot of extra help but he's looking for 1 person that will be doing the work of 5+. He's downplaying the difficulty and demand of this large-scale project. I tried explaining to him that this project involves multiple moving parts that requires a lot of time, effort, and resources but he didn't seem to understand that. Then he went on to completely change the structure and expectations of the role from what was listed on LinkedIn, saying that this is not a full-time position but a subcontract work with the "possibility" of extension if I can achieve the goal. If you don't mind working yourself to the bone and getting zero respect, this role is perfect for you.
