Interview
I left my resume with a recruiter at a college job fair. About a month later I received a call on my cell phone from an HR manager which involved basic questions such as what would make me good at this role and why I want to work for the company. After the short phone call they asked if I would be able to come in for an in person interview in two weeks. The in person interview was a series of 1:1 interviews with senior management. Senior management here gave me a great impression of the company, which translated to great work culture in the company.

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Academy Sports + Outdoors (Katy, TX) in Dec 2023
Interview
Wonderful environment! they were so welcoming and kind. I didn't end up working here, but one of the best interview processes I've ever had. Interviewed with 3 people in the final round
The interview was around 45 minutes, and the interviewer was relatively nice and ask about basic questions. They do care whether you have a retail background or not when being interviewed.
Interview with several Buyers, DMM's, and VP's over a few hours. The interviews aren't very structured and seem to be pulled out of thin air. Overall, it was a good experience.
