The interview process for Academia was split over two stages. First being a telephone interview and the second being a face to face. After the initial telephone interview in which I was given brief overview of the role and asked some technical questions I was invited to a face to face about a week later. The actual face to face was a joint HR/Technical interview where head of HR was also present and asking more soft skill type questions. The IT side as usual had IT technical questions covering the technologies in use/ to be supported.
Post interview I received no real feedback from Academia via the agency. This was rather disappointing as it is expected to have some kind of feedback and whether they would like to make an offer or not. As a contractor I’ve had several interviews over the past 10 years and have never experienced this which I find very unprofessional from Academia.
Conclusion, considering their approach it is best to avoid this company.
