I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (New York, NY) in Jul 2011
Interview
It was a group interview, so first they sit you and whomever else down in a nice room above the store. They make each of you go around introducing yourself (obviously a first impression thing), then the real questions start. The questions were pretty self explanatory, for ex. how would your friends describe you? Describe Abercrombie's style in one word. Explain a time where you worked well together with someone. These questions are easy can can be done on the spot if youre a quick thinker, but they stress on the question of cultural diversity. They ask what it means to you, and why it is important in a workplace. Now of course, they're gonna be looking for those that are more energetic, so you can't get too serious all of a sudden when you answer your questions. Making them laugh is a plus, always smile and keep eye contact. If they liked you they will make a call within a week.
Simple in person 30 minute interview talking about retail experience. Asked some situtational questions about fashion and clothing. Asked a few easy behavioral questions and opened to the floor for you to ask them questions yourself.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (New York, NY) in Oct 2018
Interview
I applied for the Cashier position but for some reason when I got there, it's Brand Representative instead. There are 4 other people plus myself. We go around the room to introduce ourselves like our name, fun fact, where we graduate, and how did we know about this job. Some of the questions were pretty straightforward and some were just weird. I was confused on one of the question, something about "Fashion Trend" and it threw me off guard. After about 8-9 questions, we were given information about the Dress code policy and the workplace.
