I applied online. I interviewed at Abano Healthcare Group (Auckland, Auckland) in Mar 2026
Interview
Wasted my time. Availability concerns surfaced far too late in the hiring process after the background check stages and was ghosted later when tried to discuss it . This could have been addressed much earlier. The process felt disorganized and did not respect candidates' time. There is absolutely zero HR support and it felt like they were not interested in their work at all .

I interviewed at Abano Healthcare Group (Adelaide)
Interview
Submitted resume and cover letter online. Few days later invited for an AI Chat interview. I'd never had this kind of AI interview before, they tell you to be yourself. Answered a set of questions where the AI types out the question and you type your reply.
Questions were as follows:
Tell us about a time when you had to explain something clearly to someone who didn’t understand at first. How did you approach it?
Describe a time when someone needed help and you went out of your way to assist them. What motivated you to act
Tell us about a time when something didn’t go as planned, and you had to quickly figure out a solution. What did you do
Describe a time when when you noticed a small detail that had a big impact on something you were working on. What did you notice and what was the impact?
You get feedback on how the system analyses your personality, this is confidential to you and not sent to the employer. I answered professionally. Had a set of 6 Insights, I guess 2 of which might have been close to my personality the others were way off the mark. I answered professionally and factually, I didn't progress past this screening, it may have been due to my answers or the way I answered. The issue is it's hard to work out what they wanted from me as an applicant...either way, not sure, but i hope this helps someone else get further.

No follow-up after the interview. It’s not difficult to send a quick email letting someone know they didn’t make the second round. basic professionalism goes a long way. not hard to do it
