      Call Center Representative Interview

      Sep 5, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at AWL (Austin, TX) in Jul 2018

      Interview

I applied online and was asked to do a one way Video interview. I was then asked to do a phone interview. When she called, it was 10 minutes of her telling me the rules if the company and the consequences if not followed. She was clearly just reading from a script. With a full monotone, went on nonstop about the rules. I didn’t even know I had the job until she sent me an email with the instructions to attend the 4 day training. I felt like cattle, completely disposable to them. I didn’t attend training and I didn’t tell them I wasn’t because it would not have made a bit of a difference to them if I did or didn’t.

      Question 1

How do you handle customers that are upset.

We are saddened to hear you had a disappointing experience during your interview process. It is never our intention to make our candidates feel as though they are disposable. In fact, we created our multi-step interview process to guarantee that the candidate and the role they are interviewing for are an ideal fit. Through this process we can verify that a candidate has the necessary network speeds to support the technology needed to perform the functions at home and they are comfortable with technology by completing a one-way video interview. It is our goal to ensure that each candidate is set up with the appropriate expectations and requirements so that they can be successful in their new role from their first day. Also, we do make it a point to touch base with every interested candidate. We understand job seeking and interviewing can be time consuming and we’re disappointed to not have had the opportunity for you to experience AWL firsthand during training. Best of luck in your future job searches!
