I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AVOXI in Apr 2025
Interview
The initial interview with the hiring manager went well. The interviewer was friendly, kind and asked relevant questions.
The interviewer assigned a take-home project with instructions that it should be completed in 4 hours. I completed the basic portions of the project but left a couple of the "bonus" portions with which I was unfamiliar.
I spent about 8 hours on the work and knew it was unpolished, but definitely enough to show my skills and generate conversation.
They gave me some very general feedback, but didn't schedule a second interview to discuss my work. IMHO, when a company asks you to spend any more than an hour on a demo project, they should at least give you a chance to discuss and defend your work. While they did give feedback, it was very general and I could have benefited from more details.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Complete a project, preferably using GoLang, to screen incoming requests based on ip address.
3 Rounds of interviews were conducted for my interview: Over the phone initial/Skills review over the phone, interview with the leadership, and culture interview with the team. It was a very friendly environment and every interviewer was attentive and kind.

Question 1
What was a mistake or challenge at work that you learned from?
It was a relatively fast interview process. I was contacted by a recruiter and had a google meets interview where I was asked about my current work/project and a few technical questions. I was then sent an API to build over two days. They weren't impressed with my final project and there was no other feedback given.
