TLDR; The recruiter and hiring manager ghosted me after technical interview and after asking to complete an assessment (which took 3-6 hours) on a weekend, and after I followed up with them.
The interview was for Senior people analytics analyst, but the interview process was opposite of people analytics.
This was a perfect example of the company can take however much time we cant of the applicants, but won't spend 15 seconds to provide an update, plus we'll not reply and ghost you if you ask for an udpate.
The interview process itself was fast, received an email a week after applying. Bots could do a better job at responding to emails.
Received an email on a Friday night 8 PM, asking to complete a Data Abalysis / Power BI dashboard assessment with the due date of Sunday 6 pm (Big red flag)
The assesment itself was around 3-6 hours of work depending on how much effort you intent to put.
The email also had a line "Please note, that only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted." (Bigger red flag, this after asking to spend hours on a weekend on an assessment)
Received email on Tuesday for scheduling the technical iterview in that week, which would be review of the assessment and a project presentation.
Interview itself was good.
If shortlisted, they'll contact for the next round (behavioural interview) early next week.
Followed up with the recuriter twice and then with hiring manager, no response.
It's been over a month they have ghosted me. Looks like they may have hired someone and ghosted others after the technical and other interview.
I'm not sure if I will every apply for any position at ATCO in the future, or I'll at least think many times before applying.
That said, the interview and assessment itself was good and was a good way to assess technical skills.
