Standard interview process, but was uncomfortable and caught off guard when asked "where do you receive your news from?" This seemed like a question with the main purpose to assess political affiliation.

I applied through university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at APLU (Ann Arbor, MI) in Apr 2016
Interview
APLU has a very laid back interview process. I submitted my original application which was a simple cover letter and resume and was asked to interview within a week. The interview itself was conducted via phone and took no longer than 40 minutes. It was a simple back and forth conversation about the goals of the company, what I would be doing in the position, why I was suitable for said work, and what I hoped to get out of the experience. I was the offered the position a few days later.
