I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ALS Global
Interview
I received a very detailed tour of the laboratory facilities. It was helpful to be able to see what goes on in the lab on a daily basis. The one-on-one interview with the manager was very casual. They will ask questions from your resume so be sure you have your own copy or review it thoroughly before hand.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ALS Global (Rotherham, England) in Oct 2024
Interview
Interview was quite informal, standard interview questions about skills and experience etc. This lasted about 20 minutes, then they gave me a big tour of the labs which I really enjoyed. People were very friendly and it was a nice environment. Unfortunately this whole process was spoiled by the fact they never contacted me again. I sent multiple follow-up emails and I got absolutely no response. Very disappointing and rude
Convulted interview process likely due to it being scheduled from Brisbane.
The reception front desk was both unmanned and inaccessible due to a large amount of packages and boxes which blocked half of the foyer area.
Interviewer did not appear to have any experience or knowledge of the industry and technical aspects of the work and yet was asking questions about it.
Interviewer also did not appear to have read the CV before the interview and thus was unaware of qualifications and work history.
Submitted Resume, One way interview with 6 questions then face to face with two chemists, reference check with two of referees then got offer about 2 weeks after. Not too long, comprehensive process.
