      Account Manager Interview

      Jun 19, 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dallas, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at A. H. Belo (Dallas, TX)

      Interview

Recruiter reached out to me to come in for an interview. They asked my salary requirements on the phone call, and then brought be into the office for an in-person interview. My in-person interview went very well, the interviewer was extremely impressed and went ahead and scheduled me for another in-person interview. The morning of my second interview, I received an emailing stating that we needed to reschedule due to scheduling conflicts. I went ahead and asked them to send me new dates to come in....and I received nothing in response. A few days went by and I sent another email, once again no response. Then I finally emailed the recruiter who initially contacted me. They said my salary requirements were too high. I clearly remember stating my salary to the recruiter on my phone-screen, so the fact that the decided to waste 2 weeks of my time only to let me know that my salary didn't meet their requirements is extremely unprofessional. The interview process left an extremely bad taste in my mouth. From past experience, only companies that are unexperienced the industry pull these kind moves.
