Pros
Supportive Team Culture: The DX department fosters a collaborative and respectful environment. Senior engineers and managers are approachable and open to questions, which creates a great space for learning. Hands-on Experience: I was given real-world backend tasks that contributed directly to live projects. It helped me strengthen my skills in REST APIs, database design, and cloud deployments. Agile Workflow Exposure: Daily standups, sprint planning, and Jira-based task tracking gave me practical experience in agile development, which is a big plus. Mentorship: My supervisor ensured I understood the why behind each task, not just the how, which made the internship more meaningful. Work-Life Balance: Despite being a BPO company, the tech side maintains a good work-life balance and a culture that values interns’ time.
Cons
Limited Tech Stack Exposure: While I got solid backend exposure, there were fewer opportunities to collaborate across frontend or DevOps areas. Corporate Constraints: Some processes felt slow due to typical corporate red tape, especially when requesting resources or tool access.
