What is the salary like at Trek Bicycle?

Greatly enjoyed working there. The management was great and they were very accommodating. Training process was quiz based and was incentivized.

No commission from sales but pay was good.

- Good base salary compared to other bike stores. - Staff discounts are decent if you are full time.

- No commission on sales means you have no potential for higher earnings regardless of how much you add to sales and store profits. - Virtually no training provided even if you are promoted to different roles. Have witnessed people with some technical ability but no experience as a mechanic being thrown into the role alone with no training or support. - Staff discounts are disappointing for casuals. -Most stores are quite understaffed compared to other bike stores. - Virtually no company budget exists for team social activities or even staff/team incentives and rewards for performance means there is poor morale and very dry work culture. - Company is reluctant to offer salary increases even after staff gain years of experience and take on more responsibilities.

The work is easy, lack of process makes it easy to do what you want.

Poor salary, benefits are constantly mentioned but in reality are non-existent. Management don't know what is happening on the coal face. Direction from HQ is vague and delusional. Great place to work focus is on the way the company is seen from the outside rather than how it performs in reality.

The people are fantastic, some of the best people I have worked with. Everyone wants whats best and everyone works well together. Great perks and awesome working with likeminded individuals. Everyone loves the outdoors and values time spent outdoors.

Management is horrible. I can confidently say my boss at Trek was the worst boss I ever had. Executives do not follow or believe in the values of the company. There is no structure, its a very go with the flow company which at first is fun but when you have been there for 2 years with 0 review/ update on upward mobility it gets old. Its also very tiring when you constantly put all your time and effort into preaching the values and upper management treats your efforts as a joke. I worked 60+ hours a week and was so passionate about helping individuals find jobs and I was not thanked by one person upon my departure. Its very clear that Trek treats its employees as just a number and its a shame because they preach otherwise. They are going through an insane amount of layoffs right now due to missmanaging finances and I would stay far far away from this company. Additionally, pay is HORRIBLE for not just HQ position but retail as well. They try to get you as cheap as they can and constantly undervalue individuals. They promise merit increases once a year but no one in my time at Trek on my team got a raise despite the tireless efforts we all put in as a team. Its such a shame because this company could be great. Its far from it. Additionally, diversity and inclusion is not top of the list for them, they look to hire the same person over and over. HUGE FLAG.

- Fun - Employee Discount - Good pay for Warehouse Associate work - Easy to get summer work - Leadership is young and friendly

- Labor Intensive - Can be difficult to get a summer job in case of a hiring freeze.
