I can't list even list all of the problems wrong with the company. I worked as a budtender full time (illinois location) for about 6 months. I had to leave due to harassment from management. The manager would often call me into his office, to constantly berate me (and other coworkers) on aspects that would have nothing to do with the job. During my 3rd month, a coworker quit on the spot, I assume, because of the harassment. The manager would come in some days entirely too "fried", other days he'd come in yelling at everyone. When you didn't respond to him happily, he'd bring you into his office to try to verbally abuse you. I ended up leaving after he told me "you'll never be anything in life, just do your job". Not only that, but the security told me that the manager said "we need more eye candy around, to bring in more customers" before hiring me. Supervisors don't do anything but say "keep your head down, and do your job". The assistant manager would sit there while the manager verbally abused me, and instigate by constantly agreeing with him. I was able to record one of the "verbal assaults" and even tried to report them to corporate, but I had already put my 2 weeks in. But to be honest corporate are the ones that enable him. My advice to my old coworkers, please record everything! And when you have enough evidence, report them to the EEOC. You shouldn't have to put up with such blatant abuse...
