What is the salary like at Samaritan Medical Center?

I got a job here while my husband was stationed at Fort Drum. Most of the people are very friendly and make it a pleasant place to work.

It’s a slow hospital. Not much change, lots of slow days for a secretary, pay isn’t great l, and it doesn’t seem super easy to move up.

-I liked the people I worked with -Decent pay

-Management was stretched too thin and couldnt keep up with the problems at hand -Director of the department didnt even know how to do the job of her employees -Director spoke down to employees, she once told us "unless your talking to a patient, I dont want to hear anything" -Director yelled at and belittled employees in front of others, including those not in our department -Department didnt have set rules and was constantly changing what could and couldnt be done -HR is a freaking joke who will make stuff up just to make themselves look better, they dont give a crap about what happens to you -They cant even figure out how to take taxes out properly

Interesting work and training opportunities area available.

Low wage, limited time off, high turnover.

None. Horrible pay no respect

Everything extremely under paid everyone who actually does patient care. No respect outdated technology and methods and equipment. If you want a progressive job in medical just go to Syracuse. Can't leave because child care is impossible to find for anyone here thats military

They raised salaries significantly from what they used to be.

Little to no compassion for employees, Senior leadsership is hiring people with no experience to oversee finance and patient accounting.
