What is the company culture like at Lumana?

Great place to make real impact on cutting-edge AI

      Pros

The opportunity to have a real impact on a differentiated product in the growing AI video security space. The product itself is at the cutting edge of AI, solving real-world safety and operational challenges for organizations across all industries and sizes. It's seriously incredible to see what the product can do in terms of the growing number of use cases it solves. Strong remote culture. Leadership (CEO included) is approachable, transparent, and open to questions and new ideas. Working across teams is encouraged and supported, rather than having teams siloed. Company momentum is really high and I'm looking forward to it continuing.

      Cons

Like any startup, it’s fast-paced and priorities can shift.

A Rare Opportunity to Build and Influence a Channel Program at Scale

      Channel sales leader
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      • Senior leadership understands and prioritizes the channel as a growth engine. • Direct line of sight from strategy to execution — your impact is visible and measurable. • High degree of autonomy to design, test, and refine partner programs. • Cross-functional alignment makes collaboration with sales, marketing, and product seamless. • Performance-driven culture that rewards results and initiative.

      Cons

      • Some processes are still developing as the organization grows. • Resource allocation is strategic but not yet at enterprise scale. • Fast-moving environment requires comfort with change and agility in execution.

Strong team, exciting product, and real opportunity to build something big

      Business outlook

      Pros

Lumana has a very strong team culture and a high level of talent across the company. One of the things that stood out to me early on was how thoughtful the team is about building both the product and the company itself. There are a lot of smart people here who genuinely care about what they are building and it shows in the pace of innovation. Coming from elsewhere in the physical security industry, it is clear that Lumana is trying to build something meaningfully different rather than just another version of an existing VMS platform. The product vision is truly compelling and the leadership team is transparent about where the company is headed and why. Another big positive is ownership. People are trusted to take initiative and drive outcomes rather than getting stuck in layers of approval. If you thrive in environments where you can build something, own something, and truly make a difference, the opportunities at Lumana are significant.

      Cons

This environment will reward self starters who are comfortable operating with ownership and autonomy. People who need constant direction or highly structured environments may find the pace and expectations challenging. As the company grows, additional operational structure will naturally continue to develop.

      Passionate Team & Attentive Leadership

      Business outlook

      Pros

The team brings a ton of passion and energy, you feel it daily on calls with them. Leadership has worked together for years, which creates real synergy and steady cadence (not always a given in early-stage startups). Smart, resourceful colleagues who challenge ideas with respectful banter that sharpens the outcome. Clear sense of ownership while everyone rolls up their sleeves and contributes. Culture is collaborative, witty, and not bogged down in politics. You get to help build the plane while flying it which is exciting if you like making a big impact fast.

      Cons

As with any startup, there are still things being figured out like processes, priorities, and who owns what can shift. G-Suite can get a little chaotic because things occasionally get buried or lost in the shuffle. Fast pace and loose structure isn’t for everyone; you have to be scrappy and comfortable with ambiguity.

      Pros

Product is amazing. Culture is beautiful. Leadership cares and listens.

      Cons

Similar to any startup, a lot of moving parts and process changes constantly but leadership communicates ahead of time to make employees know what to expect.

      Pros

The Lumana team was extremely professional and timely throughout every process of the interview/hiring process. Next steps were always clear defined and communication was always on point. The Lumana team made sure the process felt human and personal and that you just not another cog in the machine.

      Cons

The process sometimes felt to fast which is a problem I can 100 percent live with.
