How is management perceived at LoopUp?

      LoopUp reviews

Actually really good place, shame about the recurring layoffs

      Pros

-Good work-life balance. It never felt like I couldn't ask for flexibility, which was important as I had a young family at the time. -Encouraged to work on interesting stuff. Wasn't just routine bug fixes. It was 'solve this new challenge' or 'implement a new feature'

      Cons

In hindsight, the flexibility was good for me, but when layoffs came I struggled to point to a narrative which set me apart. Instead, I had a bunch of decent prototypes. Therein lays the big con with Loopup. You may find yourself part of a gambled investment, to recruit top talent and see if they happen to stumble on something profitable. Because the recurring layoffs affect lower ranking staff, there's a surplus of management. And because their value increases every time a layoff happens, it becomes even less likely they'll move on and also less likely someone will develop enough to be promoted. Regardless, I'd still work at LoopUP again, given the chance.
