Pros
-Pay is competitive in the US as to incentivize people to jump from other big gaming companies. -Colleagues are generally friendly. -Most overseas peers are young and nice people. -Remote work, no in-office reqs for majority of remote employees.
Cons
Just a few below: -If you are based outside of China, or do not speak Chinese, your opportunities will be severely limited -Onboarding is subpar, rather non-existent. Most onboarding docs and intranet portals are poorly translated or entirely still in Chinese, making finding vital work information and requests difficult. -Poor management. The company touts its "flat structure" but this leads to chatoic organization, a strain on decision making, and a tight funnel that isnt good as making hard choices. -Have seen numerous instances of homophobia and workplace harassment from coworkers in the China office. Nothing that can be done as they aren't held to the same standards as US employees. -Work hours if you are someone who connects with China often are very bad. Often times there are expectations to work hours directly connected to China, which means you wont be offline til 1am-2am. -There is zero trust given to remote employees. About 99% of the time, we are given critical work information last minute.
