The management on the support branch is on a power trip. You can have amazing metrics, complete projects, get good peer reviews and they’ll find a reason not to give you a raise. Anytime you speak out in good faith on poor processes is met with retaliation by management. In one year, 7 people in a small team have been laid off. They won’t tell you your performance is bad until it’s too late and bully you into a PIP. Do not work here.

Becoming very micro-manage-y and big brother-y. “If you don’t agree with me, then leave” attitude.

Poor people and resource management. Vindictive, egotistical behavior from managers who use employees as scapegoats for their own poor communication and direction. Demand enablement trying to maximize productivity as if we are a team of robots vs actual human beings.

Practicing board certified health and wellness coaching with like minded colleagues. Gained great experience in health coaching in very high volume caseloads. Some aspects of flexibility although it steadily decreased year after year. Professional development, stipends, and 401k match were pros.

Compensation does not appropriately reflect the extremely high amount of work. Raises were hard to come by even for high performers. I think longer tenured coaches maintained higher pay and newer coaches couldn’t get to those levels in any realistic time frame which is sad. Burnout is high with unrealistic caseloads in addition to steady reduction of perks and flexibility with scheduling. Evolving tech didn’t really solve problems but created different ones. Constantly changing metrics that always seemed inaccurate and irrelevant.

Poor and out-of-touch department leadership. Resources are rarely allocated to Support so we're continuously drowning. Department director can't communicate to save his life and he never means what he says. Always touting "growth opportunities" that don't actually exist. 401(k) match is only 2%. Industry standard is 2x-3x that.
