How flexible is your schedule working at Datadog?

Three months into my journey at Datadog, I'm impressed by the company's commitment to innovation, evident in its cutting-edge technologies and emphasis on professional development. The inclusive culture, supportive leadership, and flexible work options make Datadog an exceptional workplace for anyone seeking a dynamic and rewarding career.

After three months, I've yet to encounter any significant cons.

Perspective in Engineering: - Blameless culture - Flexible working hours - Good work life balance - Offices are great

- Make sure you are a good fit with management - Strong relationship between your position and compensation (it can also be positive) - Depending on teams, the promotion path can very subjective

Great company culture, in office policy absolutely promotes collaboration. Personally, I have a great management chain - extremely flexible on work/life balance if you're meeting (realistic) expectations. Benefits are unmatched based on any other company I've worked at or interviewed for. For sales specifically, really strong product, training and sales cycle process. Great career progression opportunity. Overall, I love working at Datadog.

Low base salary. Not necessarily negative - but still experiencing 'growing pains' as far as sales processes / ownership between CS and sales

- Team members knowledgeable and genuinely try to be helpful with however little time they have - Office is gorgeous and the perks/amenities are nice, if you have time to use them (never got to take a yoga/pilates class or a meditation session, but I did eat breakfast there almost daily because I had no time to before I got into the office) - Flexible hybrid work policy, international-friendly if you need to work remote briefly

- Misalignment of goals/outlooks/process amongst different layers of leadership - Goalposts move with no warning or notice until after a project is concluded and suddenly leadership opinion on the outcome changes - Busy season lasts half the year and is extremely intense with minimal preparation/training - Your specific role/scope may not be clear until a few months in

Brand recognition in the market, sales training, snacks

Burnout in commercial sales is common. 3 days in office non negotiable - poor work life balance as you’re working 10+ hour days and expected to work through your lunch. Little to no inbound lead flow. Diversity is laughable- frat house/ sweatshop culture is extremely evident

Great work life balance and family oriented.

Some days can be a bit challenging.

Safe stable company with a great product!

More flex on work RTO, it should be monthly not weekly, but overall still very flexible
