      Cons

      The organizational culture faces critical challenges, including a notable disregard for diversity, which adversely impacts team cohesion and morale. Ineffective management practices are evident, leading to suboptimal organizational development and employee growth. A resistance to embracing new ideas curtails innovation, while a misallocation of resources undermines key projects. Furthermore, the frequent restructuring every three months, combined with a lack of clear career advancement paths and poor staff treatment, contributes to a culture where employees feel undervalued. The organization's approach of hosting frequent events and providing meals appears to be a strategic effort in the short term. However, this may inadvertently detract attention from underlying issues and concerns. Such activities, while beneficial for team bonding and morale in the short term, do not address the root causes of operational challenges and could potentially mask the need for substantive organizational improvements

      The good and lucky thing about Celonis is that they have a strong product, which helps sustain the company's reputation and success despite these internal challenges.

      Cons

      At Celonis, several factors contribute to what I would describe as a toxic work environment: 1. **High-Pressure Environment**: The constant pressure to meet ambitious targets and deadlines creates a stressful atmosphere. Employees often feel overworked and undervalued. 2. **Poor Management Practices**: Many of the people hired had quickly risen to higher positions despite being very junior. Their lack of experience in leadership results in poor management practices, leading to frustration and low morale among employees. 3. **Unrealistic Expectations**: The pipeline is 90% fake. The sales team, in an attempt to overachieve, often puts fake opportunities in Salesforce. Leadership then sets even higher targets based on this inflated pipeline, which the sales team cannot realistically achieve. This cycle forces the sales team to lie and create more fake pipeline, perpetuating the problem. 4. **Lack of Transparency in Legal Contracts**: There is a lack of transparency in terms of the legal contracts they try to make you sign, creating uncertainty and mistrust among employees regarding their terms of employment. 5. **Lack of Work-Life Balance**: The expectation to be available beyond regular working hours and the frequent overtime make it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance. 6. **Limited Career Growth**: Despite promises of career advancement, opportunities for promotion and professional development are often limited or non-existent, event if you over perform. 7. **Inadequate Compensation**: Given the high demands and pressures, the compensation does not always reflect the effort and dedication required, which further demotivates the staff. 8. **Lack of Transparency**: Decisions are often made without consulting or informing the affected employees, leading to a sense of uncertainty and mistrust. 9. **Negative Workplace Culture**: A competitive and cutthroat culture fosters an environment where collaboration and teamwork are overshadowed by individualism and rivalry.

      - product is market leading (by a alot) and has a great vision to widen the gap with new capabilities like OCPM, copilot, process modeling integration - the people at Celonis are top tier talent, very bright, hardworking and supportive to their coworkers - the company is still growing at a high clip, expanding into new geos, adding headcount in some departments - lots of opportunity to grow you career as the company grows

      At Celonis, I got to always work on challenging and exciting engineering initiatives in a great work environment (supportive colleagues, great offices, etc). It is a tech driven company with a lot of innovation, engineering best practices, and processes that enable you to continuously level-up your professional and engineering skills. There are lots of opportunities to have an impact on customers and company. You get to collaborate with highly-experienced colleagues (e.g. a lot of ex-googlers, researchers, etc) from whom you receive great and meaningful feedback on your work. Great processes in place for regular feedback, mentorship, performance evaluation, career growth, compensation etc.

      Cons

      Onboarding can be hard - first months require very close collaboration with peers due to lack of guides, documentation, changing processes, etc.

Leadership roles are predominantly male, and there are limited programs or advocates for developing women into senior positions. Feedback and recognition can feel uneven, and mentorship opportunities for women are minimal.
